Like every other social media platform, Facebook has also introduced some major updates for its users. A few months earlier, they announced some key changes in their newsfeed algorithm that can help page owners and marketers to reach a wider audience and gain more fans. Another way to increase fanbase is to buy Facebook page likes. However, this month, Facebook came up with a new design for its app to make the newsfeed more clickable, commentable and legible. From round profile photos and bigger link previews to new like and comment buttons, the app is meticulously redesigned to improve user’s experience.
Facebook Comments
The updated version of the app features Messenger bubble style for comments on posts. This will make threading more obvious and encourage quick conversations that people usually have in private messages. Comments will feel more alive as fast-moving conversations become their own chat windows.
Bigger Buttons
With the bigger navigation and feedback buttons, it will become easier to recognize them as they feature a new unfilled line drawing style. The video, marketplace, newsfeed, comment, like and share buttons will all appear in this style, while the back button will become more prominent. Moreover, the class globe icon for notification is to be replaced with a standard alerts bell. These updates in the design will make it less distracting and easier to focus on Facebook’s content.
Improved Readability
Furthermore, to make the app content more legible and easier to see for users, Facebook has included higher contrast. There will be circular profile pictures that will feel more human and take up less space. Link previews are made to appear a little larger, which will make more people click on them. Also, the URL domain will be more prominent and appear above the headline of the link, reducing the chances of users clicking on fake websites. The header is improved to become more noticeable so that you do not get lost several layers in to the feed. Moreover, you will notice more white space on the Facebook app that will minimize eye fatigue during the long browsing sessions and enable your friends’ content to appear more vividly on the screen.
Trending News
Following the Trending Topics option, Facebook has introduced a new section for “Trending News” that can be visited via app’s main navigation. The new design of the section will give users access to a broader range of content that appeared less partisan. By tapping on the Trending News Button, a user will be able to see a numbered list of stories in the order of the likes, comments and shares they received across the platform. The user can click on any of those subjects to view a carousel of posts from different outlets, such as photos, videos and status updates from prominent celebrities and public pages. The purpose of this feature is to make using Facebook more meaningful, useful and informative.
